Saturday night was traumatic for mom (Daisy). Due to some complications with the first pup in line to be born, and after several hours of coaxing and patience, an emergency C-section had to be performed.
Sadly, only 1 of 5 puppies survived. However, the little fawn girl appears healthy and vibrant. She is being kept with a litter of bulldog pups so that she has a few siblings and play mates.
So long as she remains healthy and happy, we will bring Lucy home on May 10th.
Once I can find a picture of her litter-mates, I will post that too.
